Kem Krest History
Kem Krest has grown over the years because our people "plant trees whose shade will be
enjoyed by the future company". We establish the root systems of future successes.
We make decisions that germinate new processes. Sometimes we are fortunate enough to see
that growth reach the heights of the goals we have set; other times we continue to nurture
these plans, trusting that persistence will pay off.

Our History
- 1979 - Kem Krest founded to support GM Chemicals & Accessories distribution
- 1989 - Kem Krest awarded major accessory contract
- 1990 - Kem Krest awarded all GM US Chemical consolidation contract
- 1991 - Developed Consultative Sales Group to assist GM in sales growth
- 1992 - Awarded GM QSP Supplier of the Year Award
- 1993 - Awarded GM QSP Supplier of the Year Award
- 1999 - Awarded Indiana Quality Improvement Award
1999 - In 4th Quarter Kem Krest lost GM US Contract, nearly went bankrupt - 2000 - 1st Quarter Kem Krest regained & re-implemented GM Chemical Program
- 2001 - Kem Krest took NEW APPROACH established value-added services and "your choice" campaign
- 2005 - Kem Krest purchased Mays Canada. Awarded GM Canadian Chemical Program
- 2005 - Kem Krest sold to KIK Custom Products
- 2006 - Kem Krest awarded BKD Business Improvement Award
- 2008 - Kem Krest purchased by Amish Shah & David Weaver
2008 - Kem Krest launched aggressive marketing campaign "Customer Focused. Solutions Driven." - 2009 - Launched Hyundai & Saturn Chemical Programs
