Kem Krest Wins Kenosha Area Business Alliance 2025 Ovation Award

Pleasant Prairie, WI, November 20, 2024 – Kem Krest is proud to announce that its Pleasant Prairie location has won the Kenosha Area Business Alliance 2025 Ovation Awards Forward Award for the opening of its on-site Pulse Clinic. The Forward Award is awarded to companies or organizations that have expanded, invested or developed programs or initiatives that help move Kenosha County forward.

Since 2005, The Ovation Awards have been honoring excellence in business in Kenosha County. A diverse committee comprised of previous award winners, representatives from the staff and board of directors of KABA and BizTimes Media, as well as representatives from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Gateway Technical College, Herzing University, and Carthage College, select the awards.

In the application for the award, Robert Shufelt, Director of Operations, G&A in Pleasant Prairie wrote, “ At our Kem Krest facility in Pleasant Prairie, we are thrilled to announce the launch of a cutting-edge onsite health clinic, a groundbreaking initiative that highlights our dedication to the well-being of our associates and the broader community. This clinic, offered at no cost to our team members, embodies our core values as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and reinforces our commitment to a supportive and inclusive workplace. Partnering with a highly skilled nurse practitioner, we offer a comprehensive array of medical services and essential medications directly on-site. Initially operating two days a week, we are set to expand to three days a week due to positive feedback and increasing demand from our associates.”

“We are honored to partner with the KABA as they continue to drive business growth in the Kenosha community. At Kem Krest, we are proud to invest in the health and wellbeing of our employees while contributing to the success and growth of the greater Pleasant Prairie and Kenosha region. Together, we’re building a stronger, brighter future.” says Jodi Spataro, Director of Community Relations and Philanthropy.

The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at The University of Wisconsin – Parkside Student Center Ballroom.
