An entrepreneur, community champion, and education enthusiast, Amish Shah has helped make the South Bend-Elkhart region a better place to live and work for more than 25 years. As CEO since 2008, Amish has led Kem Krest to become a $500+ million supply chain and fulfillment business that services Fortune 100 companies globally.

Amish serves on a variety of boards and committees and is especially passionate about supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs. Amish holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Indiana University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Pedro Lerena

Chief Operating Officer

Pedro brings significant diverse global supply chain and logistics experience to Kem Krest. He spent 25 years at Caterpillar, holding roles of increasing leadership responsibility across Europe, the US, and Asia.

Most recently, Pedro led a multi-site US division of GXO (former XPO Logistics) including Food & Beverage, Agriculture, Multiclient Fulfilment, Retail, and Omni Channel e-Commerce Distribution. While at GXO, he successfully launched multiple green-field start-ups, automated fulfillment centers, and led operations to world-class performance levels. Pedro is a 6 Sigma Certified Project Sponsor, an ISO 9000 Certified Internal Auditor, and Kaizen Certified. Pedro has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in law from Alcalá de Henares University, Madrid, Spain.

Mark Turner

Chief Financial Officer

Mark has extensive automotive and steel industry experience through various financial roles at Ford Motor Company, Visteon, and Neo Industries. Most recently, he spent 14 years at Neo Industries, an industrial surface technology company servicing steel and aluminum manufacturing. While there, Mark held roles of increasing responsibility, starting as Corporate Controller, and eventually becoming Executive Vice President, US Operations & CFO, where he was responsible for the leadership of all US operations and global financial results.

Mark was also instrumental in the start-up of several international business ventures, including in Saudi Arabia, India, and Europe. Mark is a graduate of Taylor University, with a BS in Economics and Information Systems and holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Sarah Barnhart

Chief Human Resources Officer

Sarah joined Kem Krest in 2022. Before joining Kem Krest, she held roles of increasing responsibility in supply chain management, operations, regulatory affairs, and human resources over 19 years at Stryker Corporation.

Transitioning into human resources over 10 years ago, she has held leadership roles across a broad spectrum of HR functions. Sarah is a graduate of Indiana University, with a BS in Marketing and Management from the Kelley School of Business, and holds an MBA from Michigan State University.

Charles Culverhouse

Chief Commercial Office

Charles is a global business leader in the automotive and heavy-duty aftermarket and provides tremendous commercial experience. Throughout his career, he led teams that have successfully conceptualized, commercialized, and expanded multiple companies and brands, creating markets, driving products to industry leadership, and ramping financial performance into the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Previously, Charles worked as President and CEO at two different companies. He has developed multidimensional go-to-market strategies that grew the Diesel Exhaust Fluid business from zero to $300 million and catapulted the brand to the number one market position. During his time at this organization, he propelled the business to over $1.1 billion.

Charles holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Arkansas.
